Body/face

This long brown and black nose sniffs everything curiously. Her circle shaped brown eyes investigate all the people. She has a circle around the bottom of her tail. Its tail is short and sticky up. Their breed has short floppy ears that hear everything. On her paws there are 4 on each claws that are transparent. It has sharp teeth that hurt if it bites you. Pitet head alway

Fur

My animal has a jet black face with two sandy brown eyebrows. A matching sandy brown chin sits pointy. Its has Golden streaks running through her fur like sun rays in the sky. Her soft white fur feels like candy floss between my fingers. She has a midnight spot around her short tail and a raven one around her neck. Her tummy is a flamingo colour. Rough peach pads protect the bottom of her feet. A wet nose tickles me like long grass as she sniffs my legs. She has a prickly, slobbery pink tongue.

Noises

When she lock in the cage in the car on the way to a show my pet creates a high pitched whimpering noise. At the show when she see other dog she lets out a Deep, ruff bark wanting to get close to them. As she drinks water she usually gets some up her nose then she does a low pitched sneeze. Also when she gets feed I hear her teeth chewing loudly. While she sleeps softly she squeaks and ear splitting squeak.

Personality

She is a little dog but is really athletic. My pet has always been a really jumpy dog. When were at shows and most of the other time she is really well behaved. Also she licks all the time if you let her. I love her cuddles because she snuggles into you and is warm. Where ever she sleeps most of the time she sleeps with her legs straight up in the air.

The Palomino Pony Wins Through

This week room 4 had to do a novel study. I did mine on the palomino pony wins through. We had to get 80-100. In this presentation is what I’ve completed. Hope you like this!

Nana cathy

This week we did a description about someone. We had to write about their face, hair, skin, voice and personality. It could be a person we look up to or a family member except it couldn’t be someone that lived with us. I did mine on my Nana and some other people did their nana or grandpa. This is mine and I hope you like it.

My Nana is a lovely lady who knits and makes me feel better. Her skin has brown freckles all over it like a cheetah. She has wrinkles on her cheeks and forehead.  She has soft, smooth, thin skin that makes her snuggly and warm to cuddle.

Her hair is spiky when I touch it. It is short and sticks out in lots of directions. It is grey, white and the dark colour that it was in her earlier years, a real mixture of three colours. It’s soft especially when she has just had a shower.

Her bright blue eyes look down at me when she is talking to me. Her little smile makes me feel better when i’m not feeling well. Her little wrinkles move as her smile gets bigger. She has some brown freckles on her 70 year old face.

snow

I am learning to create an image in my mind, with a noun ( frost)  depicting the weather at this time of year in Southland.

I am then learning to write a description for this image,  using strong, appropriate and effective verbs to activate the nouns and one or two similes.

My breath goes out of my mouth clearly like a dragon's breath.

Ball of sparkling white snow are falling covering my head in snow. Cold Camouflaged cats sneak slowly into the house thinking their not being watched.  Hungry chickens looking for any kind of food. Little snowman growing to be big snowman overnight. Big blobs of snow are sliding off the roof of the chicken house. The house roof top is getting smothered with snow like mite on toast.

My breath goes out of my mouth clearly like a dragon's breath.

Hannah

The other day we had to write a prose about someone in our life. We had to use an A.N.V plan. we were learning to activate the nouns and describe their features. If there anything I need to improve tell me. Hope you like it.

Her long, sandy blonde hair is swaying from side to side as she runs along. Hannahs warming smile is always lighting up my day.  Her intelligent brain working away impresses me. She has a great personality that is the  bouncy type. She has pretty blue eyes that are flickering in the sun. Hannahs rosy red cheeks wiggle as she laughs. Her pink lips look nice as she smiles. Her hard head is protecting her brain. Brown eyebrows lie above her eyes. Helpful Hannah is always helping people.

the war horse

Yesterday we had to do a Memoir poem about a character in our novel study story. we had to do three feeling at the end to tell what the thing was feeling. If there is something I need to do better tell me. Hope you like it. 

The farm was fun enough,

It had a strong Zoey  plowing in the field,

damp fields drying, as well as

wooden fences enclosing the horses

Hardworking man directing the horse,

old animals tugging ropes,

drunk dad screaming at the horses to go faster

Exhausted, angry, sad

Doing everything in my power to try my best

War horse

For the Novel Study Room 4 is doing, we had to do a 100 word challenge about the first 3 chapters in a characters perspective. I chose Joey the horse that the book's about.

The year is 1914.  Today I left my mother and reluctantly went with a strange man.  He pulled me and put me into a farm cart. The weathers pleasant and sometimes frosty. My home is a large farm in the country. I live with  Albert, his parents and Zoey another  horse. My name is Joey.  My life at the farm has been hard work called ploughing but I’m fine as long as Zoey is beside me.  One day Albert's  Dad came running screaming “It’s the war”.  One day Albert’s Dad came, took me away, and sold me to the cavalry.
